Pan Cinemagraph TEST

So I've wanted to make a Cinemagraph or "living image" for some time now. I wanted the animation to be more subtle and also I failed at the trees lol. The rocks are all right, but I could not get the trees right! Also the compression messed it up a bit, although I expected that. Overall not entirely happy with this, but with all that I learned and since I understand better how it's done and the possibilities, hopefully my next attempt will look much better!

The whole thing took way longer than it should have, maybe two or three days just on the background (I kept re-doing it), and then one day on the frame-by-frame animation and one sorting out the after-effects tweeny-puppety-animation. In total about five days, although probably around 15 hours total. Way too much messing around lol. Now that I see this thing here on dA I think I like the Preview-thumbnail better than the image itself agh ;_; Oh well. I'VE LEARNED

I'm thinking about offering these things as commissions! I need to simplify (or just practice) my backgrounds a bit though, but this sort of animation could look pretty cool and shouldn't take too long to make (and shouldn't cost as much). I'll sort that out pretty soon I think. I might offer a cheaper "test commission" for a limited few people, so keep your eyes peeled. I'll let you know!
