Sonja explains things for idiots: Evolution by Panimated Sonja explains things for idiots: Evolution by Panimated
When I say "this is a person on the internet" I don't mean "this is EVERY person on the internet". It's one in a few, luckily...

I'm not going to be saying anything incredibly controversial, you've all heard it before. I've just been so annoyed at people who think they know so much better than everybody else, based on NOTHING. Mostly on youtube.
They should be thankful, and try to see how fantastic the processes of nature really are. I myself think nature is far more amazing than anything any human ever has come up with. AND I'm so happy we live in this age, where science actually enables us to see these intricate systems.
So naturally I do not appreciate when narrow-minded ignorants try to pull things back to where things were 2000 years ago. I like technology and how (relatively) stable our society is, and I would like to see it become even better before I die.

I'm sorry if you find anything in here offensive, but it's what I mean, and I mean every word.

I'm not going to answer to idiotic questions. If however someone has any verifiable, intelligent arguments, I might answer. But I really, really doubt it.
If you share my view, then great! Dare to let people know too, by dropping a comment.

Things like this is FAR from what I usually do, but from time to time I'm overwhelmed by inspiration to do something that actually comment society, instead of just entertain it.
In the future, when I'm done with the Shadowtainted, I want to make educational stuff, I think. Like educational entertainment, hopefully.
Also I can't really do much on Shadowtainted right now because I need to get the script for part 4 (which is finished) checked before continuing... :XD: erp. Also: school.

Oh, and this song goes great with this subject, I think: [link]

Okay bye now.

Haha! I try to explain this to so many people. (Well, I would if I wasn't shy) Why is it so hard for them to understand evolution? I don't mean to be disrespectful, I just don't get it. It's not that hard, and people could always believe in both. I believe in both, and I find evolution very interesting, not evil. I kind of think of God as the smartest scientist there is. We still have a lot of stuff to learn, and science doesn't explain everything, but it sure does explain quite a bit! Nod

Atheists: We were made by FIRE!!!!!!!!
Religious People: We were made by MAGIC!!!!!!!!!
Eh, that's pretty much both arguments...

not sure where the fire comes from, but, yeah- it's a pretty hopeless debate.

The big bang theory, you can't create life from fire. :P

Well, they both sound weird, call me dumb or whatever you may, but I like the magic theory much more. Fire hurts. :<
Haha, just kidding, I was born and raised into a Christian Family, so, I am open to ideas, just not an overhaul in change.

Yeah, I see. I was too, actually, but we were not really practicing religious stuff very much. There's a lot of stuff in the "fire"-theory that's pretty wonderful though, as good as magical. Like galaxies. And dinosaurs! Religion never had enough dinosaurs for me :/ sadly, hehe

Oh um. Hi.

I would like to give you an example that you seem very wrong to me. Why? Lets talk logic, not YOU MUST BELIEVE THIS BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE IN LOGIC THINK! I love logic. No theory, just pure, simple logic. All you are talking about is THEORY. Ok, now, I will begin.

Asker to scientist: Hello scientist! Show me some evidence of evolution. Anything! JUST SHOW ME SOMETHING!!!

Atheist Scientist: Well the human being (scientifically) looks like a monkey (or ape).

Asker: Wait! I have I cousin. And he does look like a monkey. But I don't think that the human being came from the monkey (or ape). And... even if they DID come from a monkey, and that you believe that there is no god, then WHERE DID THE MONKEY COME FROM?
Excuse me, I don't want to hurt your philosophy, but If its evolved; Something is here *quickly moves hand down to put some emphasis*, then it becomes better *moves hands quickly upwards*. Now, its not that thing anymore, now is it? Its that "new" one yes or no? And that becomes the next thing, and that becomes the next thing and so on, and according to the pictures they show you in the books (written by atheists), it shows you that this little creepy thing comes out of the water, then becomes a little small idonknowwhut, and later, it becomes like a little marmoset, and the marmoset becomes some sort of small monkey, and the small monkey becomes a bigger one, an ape of some kind, and then it becomes a chimpanzee lookin thing, and then a gorilla, and then this other gorilla thing, and then there is homo-sapien right there. Thats what they show yes or no? Ok even if we GO with this theory, of turning from monkeys to something else. WHY ARE THERE STILL MONKEYS??WHY??

Atheist Scientist: Oh

Those are some pretty big questions which I believe I am actually able to explain, so here we go;
firstly, unfortunately evolution has somehow got stuck with the label "theory", when the evidence for it is at least as great as for the "theory" of relativity, or the "theory" of gravity.
You say you love logic, and to me, evolution is actually the most logical explanation for how we got here than any other explanation. You just need to understand the underlying process, and the -honestly- unimaginable amount of time it has been at work.
Some people seem to think that evolution claims that a species "jumps" from one species to another. The truth is, it changes so painfully gradually, you would only see the difference between the species every 100-1000 generations (to put that in perspective; if you were to go back about 60 generations, you'd only be in ancient rome). An ape did not suddenly give birth to a human, that's a misconception.
I suggest you take some time off and try to really understand how tiny, gradual changes over a vast amount of time can heap up and make really big, amazing changes. I suggest Richard Dawkins' documentary "the blind watchmaker" (available on youtube: [link], see especially from (about) 11:30), it explains it very well. Or for a more in-depth, read his book "The Greatest Show On Earth". Really fascinating, and amazing, once it makes sense. And I'm sure it will, if you want to :)
I wish I could explain things in more depth, but I simply don't have the time. But before I stop, the question about why there are still monkeys, is really simple to understand...
You have to understand that monkeys are not "aiming at" becoming humans. It's not like if you waited a million years, all monkeys would have become humans. It's like asking: "If the first americans came from europe, why does europe still exist?" And also, humans did not evolve from chimps or gorillas, they evolved alongside each other, just like european society and american society does.
Hope any of this was helpful :)
