The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Yes! I'm opening a contest! Yay! This is the very first contest I've ever hosted, but I'll do the best I can to make it official-ish... And since it's my first, I'll keep it simple. Here we go!

NOTE: THIS CONTEST IS NO LONGER OPEN FOR ENTRIES!
THE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED 27TH OF MAY.

CONTEST!

What you'll do, is simple.
Include my fursona Pan and one of your own characters in a piece of art.
To make it more interesting; you have to make them into some kind of stereotype! This can be anything at all really, for example; vikings, English gentlemen, Ethiopians, astronauts, politicians, Romans, ponies, wolfaboos, ANYTHING!
The term is really rather loose, so basically: Draw them dressing up as something!

RULES

Even if they are based on stereotypics, try to not be rude or offensive.
Any kind of media is allowed, paintings, drawings, written work, animation, sculptures, anything!
Only one entry per person (you can switch your entry at any time)
Gore is ok
Keep it somewhat descent... okay?

Your character must belong to you, as well as all the elements in the picture (except Pan, of course!).
Please add a description to the picture, what theme you picked and if you want to, a little about the process.

(Basically how hard you try, I'll be comparing your entry to other deviations in your gallery to figure this out)

I will not judge by how much skill or experience you have. Your picture must not have all of the factors above to enter (or even to win). Don't be afraid to make Pan weird, ugly or evil or anything! The more daring you are the better!
