I've already posted this on my patreon but that post probably won't be visible after this. So I'm posting here too in case someone's late to the party and wondering what happened.

Hi there everyone! You may have noticed that All Are Not Hunters is on a long hiatus at the moment. I came here to let you know I need time to catch up, but I don't know how long it will take. But I will do it!

I'm also very regretful that the billing cycles have kept going for a month here and there without any updates from me, either because I've forgot to pause them, or I was too late, or I've made some mistake. I feel really bad about this, so I hope you will accept my apologies. Honestly I'm very frustrated with the situation and myself and I'm determined to make up for it.

From what I've calculated, I owe you guys 22 pages (this equals about 5 months where I haven't been able to meet my 4 page-per-month promise.)

So here's what I've decided; In one week I will be "unlaunching" the patreon until I can catch up. This means the patreon page will become unavailable, but that does not mean the project is cancelled! I will be able to do a relaunch at a later date, and my intention is to relaunch it as soon as I've finished the next 22 pages. Patrons will stop being charged of course.

I can't say when I will relaunch but I am determined I will. That being said I know this summer will be insanely busy, so I'm hoping I'll be able to pick the pen back up in august, and relaunch sometime between september and november 2022. The sooner the better of course!

Until then, I would like to thank you guys so much for the support so far. It is so so so appreciated - it has been humbling, and I hope you will return s a patron once the project is relaunched. Hopefully in not too long!

TL;DR: Will unlaunch my patreon in one week, page will be unavailable. The project is not cancelled! I will be catching up on the pages I owe, and relaunch at a later time; Probably in autumn.

I will try to stay active on instagram and on [deviantArt] in the meantime - let's stay in touch over there!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that the deadline passed yesterday for sending me an application to be a background artist for AANH. I received over 30 applications, which is honestly more than I had ever expected, that's so cool! Thanks so much for the interest! I will reply to each and every one of you to let you know if you or someone else have been picked. I'll be going through the e-mails and make the decisions this week. Thank you guys! So excited to move forward now! :la:

I'm excited to say, I've decided to take the step and try to find a person who can help me out with my comic! More specifically - backgrounds! This will finally allow me to focus on other parts of comic-creation that could benefit from more of my attention - it should also speed up the process and make uploads more consistent.

I would like to stress that I am NOT looking for photorealistic backgrounds, but rather I'm looking for someone who can add style and lots of atmosphere to my comic. If you can add something special that improves on my comic, that would be magical.

I suppose you might want to know first if this is a paid job or not. It is! I definitely want to give you fair pay for your work. I'll copy-paste some key bits of the casting call here so you get the basics, if it sounds promising please click on to the website to read more!

"Payment and workload:

I will pay you as a freelance artist, meaning payments will come in the form of a commission fee. Starting rate is 35$ per page (avg. 4.3 pages per month). The amount of pay and number of pages per month is closely related to the growth of the AANH patreon-page. When pledges reach 750$ per month, I will increase to 2 pages per week (avg. 8.6 pages per month). At this point if you draw 8.6 pages, I will give you 40% of that months patreon pledges. This means after pledges reach 750$ your pay will grow along with the patreon, always staying at 40%. For example: If pledges increase to 1000$ per month, your pay will increase to 46.5$ per page (40% of 1000 = 400$, divided by avg. of 8.6 pages). And so on. This way we both profit from the patreon growing!"

I hope that makes sense! The basic gist is that I'd love to pay you like 100$ per page right now, but I can't really afford it. The patreon is growing steadily though, and I mean for us both to benefit from that growth.

I added a bunch more detail in the casting call on the website, examples of backgrounds I like, what I'm looking for, and so on. Go read it!

Deadline for applications is sunday 21st of march 2021.

Thanks so much for reading and considering! :) Please share this casting call too, if you can - it would really help me increase the chance of finding the perfect applicant!

Dear everyone! I'm sad to say I've been struggling to keep to my posting schedule and getting the AANH pages out on time. I feel guilty about it every time... which is demotivating, which makes me put it off even more - and then the backlog of pages pile up. I try to not let it get to me, but I have to admit I'm disappointed in myself. I love working on the comic, I love seeing everyone's reactions and everyone getting invested in the characters - all I want is to keep the comic moving! But it hasn't been easy.

I think the worst, most demotivating part is how slow the progress is. I can work on a page for 8-10 hours, and feel like I've put so much time, effort and energy into it - but the story has only progressed by 3-4 lines of dialogue. So instead of just being excited about posting I feel somewhat frustrated and disappointed too.

I know, it's wrong - I've gotten so far (almost ONE HUNDRED pages, holy wow!) I guess I just know I could be doing better, and I feel like maybe I shouldn't keep trying to handle it on my own.

So! I think I may have the solution.

I'm doing a casting call! In the near future I'll be looking for a person who I can pay to help me out with creating the comic, specifically backgrounds and colouring.

I have been reluctant to the idea of getting paid help, it's an expense I can't afford... But then again - I definitely can't afford to keep skipping patreon billing cycles like I have been. So really I can only win from getting a helper. And! Now that I've decided, I feel so relieved! It's a weight off my shoulders. Now I can focus on the parts I enjoy the most, developing the story - sketching and outlining pages, working on more promotional art. My hope is that the comic will pick up the pace and become more exciting to follow too. The prospect is making me very optimistic overall.

So I want to thank you for your patience while I'm figuring out things. My thinking right now is I will finish the scene I'm working on now (10 more pages of this scene) - and by the end of it (should be by the end of march) I should have found a background artist. For those of you who are also my patrons, your accounts will not be charged until at least april the 1st.

NB!! This is NOT the official casting call! I thought I'd just give you all a heads up, to tell you what's going on and to be on the lookout for the official announcement soon. In the casting call I will be posting more information about WHAT sort of backgrounds I'll be looking for, how much I will pay, contact form, etc.

Keep an eye out for further news, I'll see you soon!

Hi there pridemates!
Just wanted to hear your thoughts on my livestreaming. I'm still trying to find the balance, and figure out what sort of content I should draw. I'm struggling a bit with finding content that's interesting to watch but doesn't spoil the comic. Also, taking time out of my schedule to do livestreams has proven tricky. So, here are the options, and let me know which one you'd be interested to see OR if you think any of them are a bad idea.

1: Stream spoiler-friendly content like concept art and ref sheets. Can be done any day, probably friday. (what I'm doing now)
Pros: Content doesn't spoil the comic, allows for more flexibility in my schedule.
Cons: Content isn't that interesting, livestreams would be more sporadic and variable in length and quality.

2: Stream the making of the next comic page (each thursday). Patrons ONLY.
Pros: Really exciting, sneak-peek-content. I would just stream while I work normally, which means I wouldn't have to take any time out of my schedule. Patreons get to keep the exclusive early access to the pages.
Cons: Patreon-only means much smaller chat and less interactivity. Less viewers and I'd probably not have time to do another livestream for everyone.

3. Stream the making of the next comic page (each thursday) open for EVERYONE.
Pros: Really exciting, sneak-peek content - again I wouldn't have to take time out of my schedule to do livestreams. Everyone, including non-patrons get an exclusive sneak-peek, which could build hype and more patrons. Since I'm livestreaming the day I publish, I can use the publication of the previous week's page as a place to advertise the livestream, bringing up the viewcount.
Cons: I'm worried patrons might feel cheated as their exclusive early-access to the pages isn't AS exclusive as it would be. I could limit the spoilers by removing all dialogue from the page as I'm livestreaming.

And one overarching con with livestreaming the pages: My schedule looses a lot of flexibility. I wouldn't be able to make pages in advance, and I can't make it so that patrons are more than 1 page ahead of the rest -which is something I wanted to happen eventually. I could - but then the livestream would be 3-4 pages ahead of my non-patron-viewers, which would be very confusing. I feel like this could be solvable somehow but I have to think about it more!

#3 is the most tempting to me as it's just much more tempting to watch - but the cons really make me hesitate. I really don't want to compromise early access, but I feel like removing the dialogue would at least limit the "damage". Maybe I could add some other perk to make up for it?

Please leave your opinions in the comments! Also if you don't really have a strong opinion and don't mind either way, let me know too!

Also the whole issue with the microphone: I think I'll just skip the mic for now as it's such a hassle to set up. I think a lot of people watch streams with no audio anyways, so it's not a huge loss. I could rather have questions/topics roll across the screen, like little announcements, and I could have 5-min breaks now and then where I answer things in chat :P I'll still read chat, but I feel like having a dedicated time for interacting would be more effective.
